Position: Safety Advisor Hours of Work: Full-Time/Part-Time Wage: Based on experience
Duties: - Ensure safety documentation is properly completed, filed and scanned - Ensure all parties are submitting required documentation and review - Perform site inspections - Monitor safety performance on our job sites to ensure compliance with client expectations - Monitor and maintain safety supplies on-site: first aid kits, fire extinguishers, eyewash, PPE, etc. - Participate/assist site supervisors with setting up health and safety committees onsite - Assisting with COR Audits, ISN and Erail requirements - Review and update SDS for individual sites - Assist site supervisor with safety concerns/issues that may arise on-site - Assist with setting up job sites: signage, documentation, safety supplies, etc. - Assist with Site Docs training - Assist the safety manager with various tasks - Assist with site investigations and appropriate follow-up actions - May be required to assist with WCB reporting and return to work programs - Promote site safety for all parties involved on project sites - Travel to various sites - Other duties as assigned Education and Experience: - COR Audit experience - Safety training courses: WHMIS, First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Hazard Identification, and TDG - Valid Manitoba Class 5F license - Preferably 1-2 years of experience in a safety role - Understanding of safety in the construction industry
