April 2019
Hola from Cassandra!
It’s that time of year. Time to look at the amazing tours we have put together for you this year. We have some old favourites as well as a couple of incredible new adventures waiting for you. We’ve had a great time putting these experiences together for you. I hope they inspire you to try new things and wring every bit of excitement and fun out of your vacation.
Our collection of unique tours has been designed to take you deeper into the cultures and habitats of the places we explore. They offer more inclusions, greater hands-on exploration, interactions with local experts, and the freedom to roam, all within the structure and security of travelling in a small group.
All of our tours are rich in content and value. We like to slow down the pace and often spend 2 or 3 nights in each area. Don’t like early morning starts? We never start our day before 9:00 am unless it is absolutely necessary. It’s your vacation!
See below for a summary of what’s planned for the upcoming year, including winter 2020.
Maritime Mosaic

Tour highlights include a visit to Peggy’s Cove, a charming fishing village with the picturesque lighthouse (one of the world’s most photographed places), and Lunenburg, a small port town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the highest and wildest tides at Hopewell Rocks, where time and tides (up to 50 feet) have created distinctive sandstone formations topped with trees. On Cape Breton Island, keep your camera ready as you embark on the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives in the world, and visit Cape Breton Highlands National Park, resembling the Scottish coastal regions. More scenic beauty awaits you in Prince Edward Island National Park, famous for its wind-sculpted dunes and sandy beaches. Also enjoy a ferry ride across the Northumberland Strait. Enjoy the bounty of the land or impossibly fresh lobsters, oysters, and mussels at cafés and restaurants throughout the region.

For those enjoying nature and the outdoors we stay in a mountainous biosphere reserve, the tobacco region of Viñales with its stunning landscape, and in a quiet resort overlooking the Caribbean. In addition to these extraordinary locations we will take you to meet farmers, artists, naturalists and ordinary people doing extraordinary things for their communities. As with all of our tours, it is rich in content and value, while at the same time slowing down the pace often spending 2 or 3 nights in each area. Don’t like early morning starts? We never start our day before 9:00 am unless it is absolutely necessary. It’s your vacation!
